Principal’s Message

Maximizing the potential of each student

rom September 2024, I will be appointed to this school, which has a long history and tradition.

I was involved in schooling for a long time, and after retirement I went to England to study English. At that time, I realized the fun and difficulty of learning from each other in a multinational environment, and after returning to Japan, I met a student from Shizuoka International Language School while working with my friends to provide a “learning place that respects diversity.”

At our school, we want to maximize the potential of each student. We live in a time of rapid change and unpredictability. While engaging with the local community, we will strive to acquire the knowledge and skills to live and work, to acquire the ability to think, make judgments, and express oneself to respond to unknown situations, and to develop students with high aspirations who want to make use of what they have learned in life and society.

We also want to provide opportunities for children and adults living in the community to learn about cultures and languages that are different from their own. We hope that the exchange between graduate students and the local community will serve as a window for both graduate students and local residents to learn about the world at large, and that they will play a role in regional development involving foreigners.
