We held a speech presentation event, where nine class representatives shared their personal thoughts and experiences. They spoke about the struggles of not understanding Japanese, the love of family they came to appreciate after being apart, and even the desire to let go of constantly pushing themselves too hard.
Listening to their speeches was deeply moving—it made us realize how much they have gone through beyond what we see, how they have reflected in their own ways, and how strong and resilient they have become.
We believe this will change people’s perception of “international students.” We hope many people will have the opportunity to hear their voices.
